Vedeți în titlu denumiri cu litere mai ciudate, specific cehești. Valašské Meziříčí vine de la Valašské care înseamnă Valahia și Meziříčí înseamnă Între râuri (se află între râurile Roznovska și Vsetínská Bečvy). Pe Wikipedia găsim întreaga istorie a orașului datat din 1377, numit Meziříčí, Meziříčí nad Bečvou, Meziříčí pod Rožnovou, Valašské Atény sau Valmez. Rožnov pod Radhoštěm a fost menționat prima dată în carta fondatorului său, episcopul de Olomouc Bruno of Šaumburk în 1267. Până în 1913 s-a numit doar Rožnov, pod Radhoštěm însemnând ”sub Radhošť ”, munte din masivul Beskydy moravo-silezieni de 1129 metri. Pod înseamnă sub, cam cum avem noi denumirea Poienile de sub munte! De vârful Radhošť îmi spusese aseară Otto ca o variantă de mers pe munte (prin acești munți el merge deseori). Acum eu doar vreau să văd dacă e vreo legătură între oamenii din zonă și oamenii noștri de la munte!
Ne trezim dimineață și Otto mă duce cu mașina la gară (Eva nu s-a mai trezit așa dimineață, ne salutasem de aseară). La 7.45 suntem la gară și Otto mă ajută să îmi iau bilet. La 7.45 luăm bilet spre Valašské Meziříčí pe ruta Nezamyslice, Kojetín, Kroměříž și Hulín: 190 CZK! Pare mult, împărțit la 5.5 dă 35 de lei pentru 132 kilometri! Interesant este că poți lua orice tren pe această rută, nu ai restricții la tipul de tren și biletul este valabil 24 de ore! Îi mulțumesc lui Otto pentru toată găzduirea, el îmi mulțumește că a avut ocazia să mai vorbească românește și vom ține legătura (chiar iau în țară un mic pachet pentru o prietenă cu care a tot mers pe munte în România și-l voi preda cât de curând :D!).
Trenul merge direct prin localitățile menționate mai sus și mă bucură mult cele două ore și ceva de drum: dacă la început mersesem printr-o zona de câmpie, trenul începe să urce printre dealuri împădurite, case ridicate sus pe culmi, curbe foarte lungi sau unele strânse, zăpadă... Parcă încep să mă simt acasă! Și, chiar dacă limba e diferită, muntenii de aici au ceva rădăcini comune cu maramureșenii noștri și poate și de aceea mă simt bine.
La 10.20 sunt în Valašské Meziříčí (am intrat din regiunea Olomouc în regiunea Zlín învecinată cu Moravia-Silezia la nord și granița cu Slovacia la sud). Mă bucur ca un copil când văd câțiva oameni în vârstă cu pantaloni până deasupra genunchiului și jambiere de lână. Clar, oameni de munte! Îmi pun rucsacul în spate și la drum pe cei 2.3 km spre Penzion Klub Deza unde am cazare. Adevărul e că check-in-ul se face de la ora 14.00, am uitat eu amănuntul ăsta precizat de ei în mail. Dacă știam asta, mergeam cu trenul direct până la Rožnov pod Radhoštěm și mă întorceam după aia pe seară (cum de fapt am și făcut).
In the title you see names with some strange letters, czeck letters. Valašské Meziříčí comes from Valašské which means Valahia and Meziříčí means Between rivers (it is at the confluence of Roznovska and Vsetínská Bečvy). On Wikipedia we find the history of the city dated in 1377, called Meziříčí, Meziříčí nad Bečvou, Meziříčí pod Rožnovou, Valašské Atény or Valmez. Rožnov pod Radhoštěm was first mentioned in the charta of its founder Olomouc bishop Bruno of Šaumburk in 1267. Until 1913 it was called only Rožnov, pod Radhoštěm meaning ”under Radhošť ”, mountain of Moravian-Silesian Beskydy massive at 1129 meters. Pod means sub, as we have the name Poienile de sub munte! Otto told me about Radhošť top last evening as a trekking trip (he goes often in these mountains). Now I only want to find any connection between the locals and our mountain men!
We wake up in the morning and Otto takes me to the train station by car (Eva is sleeping, we saluted each other last evening). At 7.45 we are at the train station and Otto helps me with the ticket. At 7.45 we take a ticket to Valašské Meziříčí on the route Nezamyslice, Kojetín, Kroměříž and Hulín: 190 CZK! It seems a lot and divided with 5.5 means 35 lei for 132 kilometers! It is interesting that you can take any trains on this route (no restrictions at the train type) and the ticket is available for 24 hours! I thank Otto for hosting, he thanks me for the occasion of speaking romanian and we keep in touch (I take a small package for a mountain friend of him and will give it to her quite soon :D!).
The train goes through the localities mentioned above and I enjoy the two hours and some minutes: if at the beginning the train passed a field area, then it starts to go up in forest hills area, with houses on the tops, very long or sharp courves, snow... I start to feel like home! And, even if the language is different, the mountain people from here have some common roots with our people from Maramureș and this might be my source of feeling good.
At 10.20 I am in Valašské Meziříčí (I entered from Olomouc region to Zlín region adjacent with Moravia-Silezia to north and slovakian border to south). I am happy as a kid when I see old men with over knee trousers and woolen leggings. Obviously mountain men! I take my backpack and start the city trip on the 2.3 kilometers to Penzion Klub Deza where I have accomodation. The truth is check-in is at 14.00, I forgot this detail from my email. If I knew, I would go direct wit h the train to Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and come back in the evening (as I did in fact).
Merg pe Nádražní până la Svěrákova, fac dreapta și pe Svěrákova și Ulička ajung la podul Mostni. Îl traversez printre cruci (ce seamănă foarte bine cu ale noastre) și statuia sfântului Libor, continui pe sub următorul pod pe Vrbenská până la Kaple svatého Rocha, construită în 1831 după epidemia de holeră și una din puținele monumente care au supraviețuit planurilor de redezvoltare a orașelor Valašské Meziříčí și Krásno din 1960-1970. Continui pe Kupkova pe malul râului Rožnovská Bečva până la podul care mă duce la pensiune. Aici e de fapt un club de tenis și aflu că găsesc pe cineva după ora 14.00. Bine, voi veni pe seară! Acum trebuie cumva să ies la strada care merge spre Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. Revin pe pod și pe marginea aceluiași râu ajung la primul pod, fac stânga pe Solární și ies la drumul principal. Aproape e gara Krhová unde aștept zadarnic vreo 40 de minute un tren. Ies la autostop și am noroc cu un tip care are treabă în Rožnov. Îi povestesc ce vreau să văd și mă duce prin centru chiar la intrarea în Muzeul Valah în aer liber (Valašské muzeum v přírodě).
I walk on Nádražní to Svěrákova, turn right on this street and on Ulička I reach Mostni bridge. I pass it among crosses (very similar to ours) and the statue of St. Libor, continue under the next bridge on Vrbenská to Kaple svatého Rocha, built in 1831 after the epidemy of cholera and one of the few buildings that survived to the redevelopment plans of cities Valašské Meziříčí and Krásno from 1960-1970. I continue on Kupkova on the shore of Rožnovská Bečva river to the bridge that takes me to the pension. It is a tennis club and I find out that I will find someone for accomodation after 14.00. Well, I will come on the evening! Now I have to see how I find the main street to Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. I come back on the bridge and on the shore of the same river I go to the next bridge, turn left on Solární and reach the main road. I have Krhová train station close and waint in vain for about 40 minutes. I go to the street for hitchhike and I am lucky with a guy that has something to do in Rožnov. I tell him what I want to see and he takes me through the center to Wallachian open air museum (Valašské muzeum v přírodě).
Plătesc taxa de 100 CZK (Kč) intrarea la muzeu, îmi las rucsacul lângă recepție și pornesc la plimbare. Muzeul în aer liber are mai multe zone: valea morilor sau Mlynská dolina (până la ea e un hambar cu tot felul de căruțe și unelte folosite la câmp), satul valah sau Valašská dědina și orașul din lemn sau Dřevěné městečko. Ultima este situată pe partea cealaltă a drumului. Înainte de a urca la satul valah este o expoziție numită ”Satul Valah, un lucru din trecut?” în care se arată toate aspectele vieții predecesorilor noștri: cele legate de muncă, de locuință, de suflet, de sănătate... În satul valah este recomandată vizitarea într-o anumită ordine și când ajung acolo voi mai da câteva amănunte. Multe lucruri doar se simt, sunt ceva mai greu de exprimat în cuvinte...
I pay the entrance ticket of 100 CZK (Kč), let my backpack near reception and start my tour. The open air museum has more areas: Mills Valley or Mlynská dolina (there is a shed with all kind of carriages and tools used in field works), wallachian village or Valašská dědina and the wooden city or Dřevěné městečko. The last one is situated over the road. Before going up to the wallachian village we find an exposition called ”Wallachian village, a thing from the past?” where they show all the aspects of our ancesters' life: ones related to work, house, soul, health... In the wallachian village they recommend a way of visiting and I give you more details at the righ time. A lot of things are only felt and hard to express in words...

Se cam grăbesc să închidă (e trecut de ora 16.00), ies și îmi iau rucsacul și acum la plimbare spre gară. Trec pe lângă biserica evanghelică, pe lângă centrul de genealogie valah, văd numere de stradă foarte mari (2193!), întreb un polițist cum să ajung în centru și mă ghidează spre piața centrală Masaryk. Aici e închis centrul turistic și după câteva poze merg pe Nádražní, las biserica catolică (Kostel Všech svatých) pe stânga și înainte de a trece podul spre gară văd o frumoasă hartă și un panou indicativ pentru toată Valahia Moravă. Ce turistic e aranjat totul! Ajung la gara frumos amenajată pe interior și îmi iau bilet la tren (25 CZK) până în Krhová. E un tren local cu foarte mulți tineri, turiști localnici și navetiști.
They hurry me to close (it is over 16.00), I go out, take my backpack and on my way to the train station. I pass the evangelic church, the wallachian genealogy center, see very big street numbers (2193!), ask a police man for the center and he guides me to Masaryk central square. Here the touristic center is closed and after some pics I go on Nádražní, let the catholic church on the left (Kostel Všech svatých) and before passing the bridge to train station I see a beautiful map and a indicative panel for all the Moravian Wallachia. Everything is so touristic! I reach the fine interior arranged station and take a ticket (25 CZK) to Krhová. It is a local train with a lot of youngs, local tourists and commuters.
Merg pe drumul cunoscut (de nevoie) la pensiune și acum sunt primit de o frumoasă sportivă (cu siguranță joacă tenis după alură). Mă costă 500 CZK (21 de euro cazare), așa cum făcusem rezervare pe net. Nu mai am prea multă energie decât de un duș și somn. Ah și să îmi fac rezervare pentru două nopți la hostelul Aventura Boutique din Budapesta. Alt loc superb, cu oameni faini și multe surprize!
I follow the known (by need) way to the pension and I am welcomed by a beautiful sportive girl (she must be a tennis player!). Accomodation is 500 CZK (21 de euro), as I made reservation on net. I don't have to much energy but for a shower and sleep. And I make a two night reservation at hostelul Aventura Boutique hostel from Budapest. Another amazing place with fine people and a lot of surprises!
