A doua zi la fermă - 17.12.2013 - The second day at the farm

The day starts early in the morning in India! They previewed fog in the morning and we think about going back to Delhi. A no-snow white-out is confirmed and we go to look for a train to Amritsar (the next city Ițm going to). Therețs no direct train and thus we go to the capital! From the little train station Gunwar wants to show me other traditions. We go to a traditional jagerry factory, I smoke (you know I don't usually smoke) hukka with the locals (a kind of nargileh) and i ask for every possible detail about that improvised factory.
"You want to see the temple?"
"Of course!"
"Let's go then!"
The family temple is a small temple built on the family's land. It is a holy place where you continuously feel the energy of the ancestors and the gods. In the temple's court you find trees that help you to improve your physical and physical health, a incineration place (which you're no allowed to step on) and everything abouns of goodness and detachment. A walk on the country roads brings Eminescu in discussion (with his indian years). We go to Rohtak  with the family's car and with a bus (I hardly manage to go in the outgoing bus) we reach Delhi. We make a train reservation, talk for a few hours and go to sleep after midnight.

I'm leaving with a night train to Amritsar. Good bye Delhi for about a week! In the usual second class coach I am "hooked" by indians (some of them will be future online friends) very curious. I only quietly relax in the last 100 kilometers (of 450 km!). This is a gate to another India! At 1.30 in the night I reach Amritsar at the end of the line and I go to the Golden Temple with a ricshaw thinking about staying there or around over night.

Prima zi la fermă - 16.12.2013 - The first day at the farm

From Delhi we take a bus to Rohtak, Haryana. Gunwar knows the bus station and I have the opportunity to see what is the agitation in an out gate of the city. I have the time to see the great city Delhi and its suburbs. It's hard to realize where the city ends (I never saw and end-of-town/city/village mark in all India!) and other small villages begin. We reach Rohtak in a few hours, get of the bus without complete stop, eat dal and meet Gunwar's father who came with the car to solve some financial stuff at the bank. The indian bank system is so different from the european/western one! With the car (driven by Gunwar's father) we go for 90 kilometers to Ropal Gopalpur at the family's lands. I admire the building project of two big granaries for the state (family project), we go to the farm and I am welcomed by K.V.'s family (very warm and open family). I let my baggage up in the room and we go around (Gunwar and me) to see the village and the farm. I experiment an old tradition at a potter's house, in the evening I listen family stories and I enjoy a simple healthy dinner. The room is perfect for a few minutes of introspection before going to bed.
